“Workplace Pride welcomes Parea Suriname as its newest member of the Global Benchmark Parntership Group.
“The recent addition of a number of new partners for the Global Benchmark is a sign that there is a true need for cooperation on international LGBT workplace inclusion.”, said David Pollard, Executive Director of Workplace Pride. “We are very pleased to see Parea, Suriname join this effort as the first partner in South America and the Caribbean region” said Pollard.
The Global Benchmark is a measurement tool for LGBT workplace inclusion. Employers taking part in the annual Global Benchmark Survey receive individual reports of their performance allowing them to make progress on being more inclusive.
Global Benchmark Partners help promote participation in the annual survey among employers in their own countries. Once the individual reports are distributed, the Partners help employers interpret them in the local context.
Juan Pigot, President of Parea said, “We are delighted to be working with Workplace Pride as part of the Global Benchmark Partners Group. For us, measuring progress with LGBT workplace inclusion demonstrates to employers in Suriname that large organizations are embracing this topic positively. We hope to be an agent of change here and in the Caribbean, and see this as an important step in that direction.”
Results for the 2015 Workplace Pride Global Benchmark will be released on 29 October, 2015.”
